Games and Written

So, I haven't really made anything worth noting in the last little while. The comic isn't dead, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to progress it more. I have a few ideas I want to do. But, for the time being, my attention is being drawn towards other ideas. We'll see if I can make some of them.

Anywho, I discovered (after forking the cash for the harddrive) Halo 3's theater feature. I really enjoy it. I get to fly around games I've played and take nifty, high resolution screenshots at will. The following two images are from a game I played.

The first one I call "Close Range" for obvious reasons. My character, gamertag Devilnumber2, is on the right. I prefer the elite model, personally.

Click for bigger images. These are amazingly good quality photos.

The second I call "Vengeance". Though it doesn't look it, the guy on the left is my teammate. I'm center, of course, going for the guy on the right.

I had a bit of a problem with a fellow Deviant about posting these things on DA. He(?) claimed that it wasn't actually art, and I should put it in my scrap gallery. I thought this was a bit obtuse, seeing as how it's really just another form of photography. Thoughts?

Finally, another, really simple written piece. Like I state in my Artist's comments on the page, I apologize profusely for posting a poem. It was just an idea that occurred to me while I was at work, and I thought it was amusing enough to post.

Update: It seems I've already taken my poem off my DA page. Sorry to all who missed it!

Enjoy! :)

I managed to get two more pages made today. I've been referring people to this comic, and most have had some trouble finding or figuring out which page is first. Most people go straight for the image, it seems, and misses what order it's supposed to be in. SO, for each new comic post I make, I'll be including the links you see below, which will take you to those respective images. This way, the comic can be viewed, in order, from any one post I make.

Enjoy!

Page 3 took me longer to make because I had to make all the new props presented here. They include the glass (including the drink), the paper umbrella, the straw, the side table, and the deck. I'm quite pleased with the results. However, they make rendering take a LOT longer.

Page 4 is a little bit of a detour from the main plot so I can introduce the character's names. Enjoy. :)

Page 2

Here's page two of my comic strip. Let me know what you think, and, as always, critique. Also, names are still being thought up, so any flashes of inspiration are welcome.

More experimentation

Here's a new project I want to get going. It's something of a rudimentary comic strip that I can take in many different directions. I know this one isn't that funny, but I hope to make it into a full story line.

I don't have a name for the comic yet, nor do I have names for the two main characters. If any of you have suggestions on anything about this, let me know.

A couple new things

So, I've been less prolific with my art than I was before. Bit of a creative slump. Not to worry, though, cause I've got two new pieces here that you may find enjoyable.

The first is a new trick. I learned how to make fairly realistic, destructible object using Cinema's cloth tag and the explosion FX. The results, obviously, aren't perfect, but neither are they bad. Enjoy watching this piece.

The next is not for the faint of heart. A fan image for Sweeney Todd. I got the actual embroidery for the handle to work with my model, though it's hard to see from this angle. Still, I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Oh, and I used the same trick I demonstrated above to get the glass shards and their positions.

I call it "You Shall Drip Rubies"

Enjoy. :)
